eTransformation and eGovernment capacity building support for the Moldovan Government

The main focus of the cooperation program is to transfer Estonian e-government implementation experience to the Moldovan Government. One of the results of the project will be agreed principles of eGovernment organizational setup and technical architecture, taking into account existing situation in eGovernment, planned and on-going development projects, visions about M-Cloud and strategic projects planned by Moldovan government together with international donors and World Bank. Use of ICT to enhance public participation in decision making (e-Democracy)

The project is related to the Information Society Action Plan of the Estonian Government where public participation in decision-making using ICT is an important goal.  A special program of the EU Structural Fund was introduced to raise awareness of society about  opportunities provided by  information society. In the framework of this program the public tender was conducted in summer 2010 by the Estonian Informatics Centre to find a partner for the  implementation of a variety of e-democracy activities.  E-Governance Academy won the competition and as a result 2-year project was launched in September  2010. Read more...

e-Governace Academy is external expert for City Government of Tartu in Interreg IVC project „eCitizen II – Towards citizen-centered eGovernment in European cities and regions“. The project is launched at the beginning of January 2010 and leaded by The Baltic Institute of Finland. The role of eGa in the project is to offer overall e-democracy-related expertise, to advise on organization of joint seminars in partner countries and to contribute to writing e-particiaption manual as concrete outcome of the project.
