To encourage research to topics concerning the development of information society, the Board of the e-Governance Academy has established a scholarship fund.
This scholarship fund is meant to help graduate students and researchers, trough the granting of stipends, to engage in and develop research on topics that are relevant to the mission and activities of the Academy.
WHY DONATE?
By donating to the eGA scholarship fund, you help research in the field of e-governance and the further development towards transparent and knowledgeable information societies.
It is also a great way to enhance your organisation´s visibility - donors who donate 1000 € or more can see their names reflected in the stipend, can direct the sponsored research towards a specific topic and have the right to participate in the selection procedure.
Donations can be made on the dedicated "eGA scholarship fund" account number 221 555 555 559 (Hansapank). Donations to the scholarship fund are tax deductible under Estonian tax law.
For more details on entering your company or organisation into our scholarship programme, please contact Mr. Ivar Tallo via ivar.tallo@ega.ee
THE RULES FOR STIPENDS
Research stipends will be awarded on the basis of a competition, organised periodically according to rules put forward by eGA and open to all researchers and graduate students.
Research projects and proposals will be judged on their merits and relevance to the activities of the e-Governance Academy by a stipend commitee consisting of a representative of eGA, 3 prominent figures from the academic or industrial world and (when applicable) a representative of the sponsoring donor. At this point, the following persons are asked to take part in the deliberations:
Professor Marju Lauristin, Tartu University
Professor Avo Ots, Tallinn Technical University
Mr. Linnar Viik, Estonian IT College
Research should result in a comprehensive document (minimum 20 pages) and is honoured with a stipend that amounts up to 15 000 EEK.
