Consultancy

eGA can rely on a network of specialists, all of whom have a longstanding experience in their field of expertise. As such, the Academy is well placed to offer consultancy services on e-governance issues.

The Academy brings together the knowledge and experience necessary to help policy makers to make informed choices. Through consultancy and on-site training, eGA facilitates defining these policy choices.

As an independant organisation, eGA further helps to translate these choices into realistic and manageable technical needs, avoiding costly and inefficient discrepancies between what is really needed, and what is in the end actually developed. Our consultants - most of who are also lecturers for our training courses - are professionals and active practitioners in their field, fluent in both English and Russian.

Training followed by consultancy has proven to be an effective practice. In many cases the Academy is faced with concrete demands for know-how in building particular programmes, projects or strategic papers.

eGA has carried out successful consultancy missions in Moldova, Ukraine, Slovakia, Albania and Uzbekistan.

Commissioned and financed by the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunication, eGA compiled the Export-oriented Development Plan  for the Information and Communication Technology Sector 2009-2013.
The ICT sector development plan preparation process began in November 2008, and the work was completed in March 2009.
The main objective of this document is to provide practice guidelines for the ICT sector itself on how to grow significantly over the next few years as well as the sale of products and services of the ICT sector outside of Estonia. According to the estimation of the compilers of the development plan this broader objective can be achieved through actions in two main directions:
1. potential cooperation activities for the company to improve exportoriented sales aptitude
2. actions necessary for scientific and technological development are presented
